The fragments of scattered debris and the scars created by bushfires and floods become the symbols and signs that appear as chaotic and unintentional marks, but looking closer, it evokes the impression of an unknown language, a script drawn directly from the natural world. Like accidental hieroglyphics, these elements carry meaning; nature itself is writing its own story into and on the ground.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTogether the artists share aerial perspectives of the land surfaces to capture the sense of surface encounters, textures and arrangements that we wish to comprehend and decipher.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese traces remind us of memory and silent communication, speaking of cycles of growth, decay, regeneration and renewal. In viewing these patterns, nature communicates to us to slow down, to open our eyes, and to imagine the land as a living archive. Nature is the book to read beneath our feet – it is both a record and a reminder, an ongoing dialogue between the natural world and our own search for understanding. Yet, as our climate changes, these once-cyclical events are becoming more frequent and severe.
