BUNDA ART | 'Australia on a String (66)' | Necklace
"Bunda comes from the idinji word meaning "putting things together to make something. The family connection between Roy Gray (Gimuy Walaburra Yidinji Elder) and Jo-Ann Beikoff spans 50 years and through our multi-generational family friendship, we are creating our own contemporary take on traditional art forms that have impacted Roy during his lifetime - within this context of reconciliation and connection, Jo-Ann and Roy work to put things together to make something.
Our necklaces 'Australia on a String' are inspired by native pods and seeds from the land and bone, shell, and coral from our sea. All sustainable sourced and gathered " - Jo-Ann Beikoff & Roy Gray
