JANE DENNIS | 'Coupling' | Gyotaku print

This technique creates an image using fresh fish as the master plate. Originally designed by Japanese Fishermen to record their fish species, they would take paper and ink out in their boat and would 'rub' an impression by painting over the whole fish body. While several images may be taken from each fish no two images remain the same.

All works are cataloged with a number and title, with a stamp marking each collection. Each artwork is signed by the artist with a signature and unique thumbprint.
