Since her 2023 Northsite exhibition ‘Melaleucas and Mangroves’ Julie continues to work within the theme of of these ecosystems, including epiphytes and their importance in the complex cycles of biodiversity of our coastal wetlands. 

Some of these native epiphytes are found in the Little Stick series. “The series gives me the opportunity to share plants (epiphytes) that grow high in the trees such as orchids and mistletoe.” All works have the plant names on the reverse.
