Title: The Date Palm
Materials: responsibly sourced sterling silver, Citrine (emerald cut).
Inspiration: the date palm has long been a symbol of prosperity in the Middle East and appears in the religious texts of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. To the Ancient Greeks and Ancient Romans it symbolised victory, and to the Egyptians it symbolised fertility.
Further Information: this design is inspired by the Half Shekel coin of the Jewish Commonwealth 69-70 CE (minted during the First Revolt) which depicts a palm tree flanked by two harvest baskets.
Care Instructions: clean with warm water and soap, ultrasonic cleaner, and a silver polishing cloth. Sterling silver naturally oxidises over time.
