A group of established artists of Cairns region were invited to sponsor their time and expertise to create one-off ceramic platters as part of a special fundraiser event. The selected artist group can be defined by their history of longevity with Kickarts, including some founding members, their professional practice and an inclusive cross section of cultures.
Napolean Oui lives in Cairns where he works as a cultural presenter and educator at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. His father's family is from the Torres Strait and New Caledonia. Oui is a dedicated advocate, researcher and educator of the rainforest art, culture and style.
