“I started woodturning in  2016 and prior to that had not taken part in any creative activities.

I lived my early working life on our family grazing property in western Queensland and some of the construction and maintenance work involved building fences and stockyards., I think that early experience is where I developed a love for working with wood. On my retirement, I joined the Innisfail Woodworkers Guild and became fascinated with wood turning and now do a lot of my work from home.” – Garry Jillett
