"Wild Barra Co. or as most know it Wildbarra began as a clothing range at Australian Indigenous Fashion Week 2014, and Adam Linforth of ‘Budgy Smuggler’ joined ‘Wild Barra Co.’ as a Director to mentor me, Shaun Edwards on industry standards, entry to the fashion industry, and brand building. We targeted the international market via social media and online selling initially, as Australian demand for Indigenous-themed swimwear was low. I continue WildBarra as an experience of my culture and by devoting time and tapping into my creative healing space and mindset to develop concepts and design elements that represent a narrative and a reality that increase world audiences’: positive interest, awareness, knowledge, and connection to issues within Australian First Nations and contemporary mainstream life." - Shaun Edwards

We work to support artists achieve their aspirations. Artists set their prices and we add a standard service and marketing commission - this supports our not-for-profit programs and allows us to continually turn over the highest-quality artistic products.

Most artworks are one-offs and completely original in the iconic style of that artist; with the exception of intaglio and relief prints, which the organisation is renowned for. Check out our selection of limited-edition fine art printmaking.

Over 95% of the artists we support are from North Queensland. We work with both independent artists and those represented by commercial dealers and art centres.
