"Weaving Connections 1 & 2’ – Represents the ongoing tradition of weaving technique passed down by our elders and learned from a young age. This maintains our connection to land, cultural heritage, and identity. It is closely linked with our knowledge of the seasons for hunting, fishing, gathering native fruits and trading purposes. The material used for weaving is the native plant Lomandra; when it is flowering this tells us its time for fishing. The old people are aware of the changes in weather caused by lack of respect for culture, country, and biodiversity." Sheila Brim
