"I met this lady in 2018 at the Goroka Show. I didn’t know her, but I was drawn to her kind smile and welcoming gaze. Eight years later, I saw her again in Ramu Valley, Madang. I told her, I’ve met you before, and started scrolling through my images, showing her the photos I took of her—then the painting. She was so surprised and began calling her family over to see it."
