"In my Kaidildt language Kabara is the name for Salt Pan.  My Country, where I was born, is near a salt pan on Bentinck Island. The red clay of the salt pan was once used by our old people, to treat wounds, this was done by rubbing onto the infected area, also was used for ceremony and dance.  White clay was eaten to cure belly problems and was also applied to the body for war and ceremony."  - Amy Loogatha
