Mary lives on the northern beaches of Cairns.

She has had a long interest in all things textiles & could knit doll’s clothes at four years of age.  Embroidery is amongst a suite of skills taught to her by her mother and which she has continued to enjoy in various ways for many years.

Her current mixed media embroideries are created intuitively. She usually begins with a preferred colour palette, a printed image on calico and then takes her needle for a long walk.

Mary is currently enrolled in the Diploma of Visual Arts at Cairns TAFE college. She also enjoys painting and drawing.
