"Urli bowls are a common sight in South Indian homes, often located at the entrance and symbolize prosperity & abundance. They are often filled with water and fresh flowers & used in Hindu rituals including the pooja ceremony. This contemporary take on the traditional vessel was created during my seven months training at the Golden Bridge Pottery in Pondicherry, it's significant as a threshold piece both in use and in my transition to a career as a full time artist."
