"As I get to know my new tropical home, I look for powerful images that pay homage to the mightiness of this landscape and everything in it. My process involves drawing onto a dark field monotype (print). There is an enticing element of chance that comes with a single print and how it can change a composition. I embark on an explorative path with this technique hoping to make the viewer reassess their own experience of familiar surroundings. The realistic drawings teeter on the threshold of semi-abstraction."
