"The amount of 'waste'  that we create to 'live' has been rapidly accelerating in my lifetime. No matter where you go on this planet, you will find our discarded rubbish - on the remotest of beaches, the highest of mountains and at the bottom of our oceans. Plastics are a particularly poignant example of this rubbish. This artwork uses lots of bottle tops. Lots and lots of colourful, single use, plastic ones. At a distance its colourful and benign   but up close it s all about the plastic. 'Legacy'  asks the viewer to consider at what point is all that plastic too much plastic. What is our personal threshold to tolerate the stuff? What is societies threshold .... and what is this planet s? Will we clean up this mess we have a created or leave it as a legacy for children of the future? A legacy that pushes us to ever closer towards the brink of 'no return'  when the collapse of this planets environmental systems, that we rely upon to feed, breathe, drink and shelter, will threaten the very existence of 'us' as a species."
