Victoria is an emerging artist, originally from London, now living in the rainforest in Daintree. Her practice explores the human condition and our complex relationship with the environment. Drawing from both urban and remote landscapes, her work reflects a deep connection to place, capturing both its fragility and resilience.
Through ceramics and mixed media, Victoria investigates themes of growth, tension, and transformation, often inspired by organic forms such as strangler figs.
Her vessels balance function and sculpture, with a focus on form and space, inviting viewers to consider what is seen, and what is held within.
These vessels are inspired by strangler figs, where growth slowly reshapes what is surrounds. Through layering and carving, they explore tension between holding on and letting go.
Openings and negative space suggest what is hidden and what remains, balancing strength with fragility and quiet transformation.
