BRIAN ROBINSON | 'Men+GODS' | Exhibition Catalogue
Brian Robinson: men+GODS was published by KickArts Contemporary Arts in support of the artist's 2012 exhibition. More than just a straightforward catalogue, the publication examines the influences and experiences of the artist to shed light on how a boy from TI who loved to draw can develop into a senior contemporary practitioner and produce such an extraordinary body of work.
As the first publication dedicated solely to Robinson's practice, the book includes essays on the artist's key media and themes, the context of the contemporary Torres Strait Islander printmaking movement within Australian Indigenous and Melanesian art, an interview with the artist, and over 80 full-colour images.
