Thunuyingathi Bijarrb May Moodoonuthi (c. 1929 - 2008) was one of the highly respected seven Kaiadilt women artists whose non-derivative paintings captivated international audiences and left a remarkable cultural legacy. Moodoonuthi paints the Burrkanda (tribal scars) that traditionally mark elder Kaiadilt women, a scarification process that forms crisscrossing raised lines across the body.
