"This etching print that I created depicts, the migration of my family from my father’s side to my mother’s side. I come from a bloodline that lies from the Eastern Islands of the Torres Strait to the Western Islands of the Torres Strait, straight up into the highlands of Papua New Guinea and across the Pacific Ocean to Vanuatu. The IRUAPAUP (HAMMERHEAD), plays an important part in my life, through my behaviour, how I act to live to fight another day in today’s society; the Hammerhead is one of my totems from the Zagareb Tribe of Mer Island."
