Uncle Noel (Gulla) Blair

This Jinibara and Cobble Cobble Elder and artist was celebrated for his witty, political and humorous works that offer a sharp lens on the world around him. Taught to draw and paint by his elders in Cherbourg, Noel's art is deeply rooted in cultural knowledge and story telling.  

This T-shirt design is from Uncle Noel's 'Ganan Ganan - Poor Fella Me' exhibition; a series of six posters based on his reflections on things that have happened in his life.
